When Rani Mukerji was asked about her opinion on the Me Too movement, she said, I think as a woman you have to be that powerful within yourself, you have to believe that you’re so powerful that if you ever come into a situation like that you have the courage to say ‘back off.’ I think you have to have the courage to be able to protect yourself, adding, you have to take responsibility of your own self, the actress was severely trolled on social media.
Backing her claim, the actress Neha Dhupia said in a recent interview “that is extremely legitimate that women should be strong enough to say back off. I don’t think that breed of men should exist who actually want to exploit women. Women shouldn’t be brought to the point of saying back off. That shouldn’t exist in our culture or our society.”
