Sukumar’s directorial film Rangasthalam starring Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni is this week’s big release in the southelugu. It is a film set in the 80s and unfolds in a village. The film also stars Adhi Pinisetty, Jagpathi Babu and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. The film is set for a worldwide release on 30 March 2018
Chitti Babu, role played by Ram Charan is a partially deaf person who runs a boat for his livelihood. He then becomes the trusted person of powerful landlords fighting for supremacy in his village. A situation arises, however, when a villager files nomination against these landlords. He later falls in love with Lakshmi, a role played by Samantha Akkinenni.
In the film, Ram Charan plays a hearing-impaired engineer who fixes the motor pump that farmers use to irrigate their lands. He tries to bring a change in the village that is represented by a corrupt leader.
Samantha is playing a role of a village girl whose day revolves around chores at home and at the farm. The music and background score is composed by Devi Sri Prasad and the songs have already got a great response from the audience.
